GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING A NOMINEE FOR THE

EMET PRIZE

 

Person submitting the Nominee:

Any person, except the nominee himself, or factor, such as an academic or research institute, a hospital, a government office, theatres, professional organizations, etc. can submit a nominee.

 

Nominees:

The prize is awarded for excellence in academic or professional achievements in art, science and culture that have far reaching influence and make a significant contribution to society.

The Foundation would like to acknowledge those who have made excellence their way of life and who view the fulfillment of human potential as essential to creating a better world for future generations.

The prize is awarded to individuals, not institutions, companies etc. In special circumstances the prize in a specific category will be awarded to more than one awardee.

The Prizes are awarded to Israeli citizens who have been residing in Israel for at least three years prior before his/her nomination. In special cases the prize will be awarded to foreign citizens, as long as they reside in Israel and consider Israel their home.

 

A person cannot be awarded the EMET Prize the same year they are awarded the Israel Prize and can be awarded the EMET Prize only once.

 

The awardees of the EMET Prize must receive the prize personally.

The awardees must cooperate with media interviews, etc.
