The Prizes will be awarded for excellence in academic and professional achievements; achievements that have far reaching influence and significant contribution to society in the category for which the Prize is awarded.The intention of the A.M.N. Foundation, through the award of the EMET Prizes, is to acknowledge those who view excellence as a way of life and the fulfillment of human potential as essential to creating a better world for future generations. The Prizes will be awarded to private individuals only, and not to organizations or institutions. (In certain circumstances, a Prize may be awarded to more than one candidate). To be eligible, a candidate must be an Israeli citizen, who resided in Israel for at least three (3) years prior to submitting an application. Under special circumstances, the EMET Prize will be awarded to a non-citizen, resident of Israel who has been residing in Israel prior to submitting an application and considers Israel his/her permanent home.An individual that received the Israel Prize in a given year will not be eligible to receive the EMET Prize in that same year. A recipient of the EMET Prize will not be eligible to win the Prize more than once. Please note: EMET Prize awardees must claim their prize in person, and agree to interviews and media appearances.
Submission of nomination: Any individual (except the candidate itself) or any organization, such as institutes of higher studies, government institutions, professional groups, theatres etc., may nominate a candidate by submitting an application.
Directions for completing the application:1. Each nomination requires a separate form, with all sections completed, even if the requested information is provided in supplemental material attached to the application. 2. An individual submitting a nomination must attach three (3) letters of recommendation from individuals and/or institutions relating to the Prize category (i.e., researchers, critics, curators, etc.). It is possible to send supplemental information with the application forms in addition to (and not instead) of the required information in the application. It is possible to attach books, journals, portfolios, published articles and other relevant material. The material will not be returned to the sender; please do not send originals.3. The complete EMET Prize by-laws are available for review at the Foundation's offices.4.
